Tough and slim, the new GA2200 models have a carbon core guard structure that makes them great-looking outdoor tools. The GA2200M-4A comes in orange resin bezel and band with metallic accents and two layer dial. The slim, 12.8mm case of the GA2200 is created using a new structure that integrates the bezel, back cover, and buttons into a single piece. The six prominent screws securing the bezel create a G-SHOCK tough look.
Enlarged side buttons provide a higher degree of impact resistance, eliminating the need for button guards. This creates a simple design and makes buttons easier to operate. A slide lever-type band makes band replacement quicker and simpler. The disc indicator on the face and the semi-circular design parts around it are colored using a vapor deposition process for a more realistic metallic feel.
Each of these parts is separated from the dial for a three-dimensional effect. A diagonal digital display in the lower right of the face creates a unique look. The result is a collection of G-SHOCK models for young people and adults that look great in the great outdoors
The three-tier construction seamlessly integrates bezel, case back and buttons to slim the case down to a mere 12.4mm. Larger shock-resistant side buttons eliminate the need for button guards, for a more compact timepiece. All this, with zero compromise on ease of use — in fact, it’s even easier.
The round bezel with six screw accents projects the rugged toughness demanded on adventures great and small. The inset dial indicator, inspired by an automotive brake disc, is enclosed in a semi-circular ring, both of which are treated in a vapor deposition finish for the metallic look of serious outdoor gear.
Crafted separately, the parts and dial are then assembled to add dynamic dimensionality to the watch face. The digital display runs diagonally between the 4 and 6 o'clock positions for a final touch of outright boldness..
Powerful and easy to use:
Oversized side buttons
Despite slimming the case, we were still able to increase the size of the side buttons. Knurling on upper surfaces enhances their ease of operation. Inserting the buttons between the bezel and back cover gives even the side view of the watch a gear-like appearance.
