Say hello to the fourth Rui Hachimura signature G-SHOCK! Jump into the future of tough, rugged watches with this signature timepiece inspired by professional basketball player Rui Hachimura. This collaboration model is based on the GBM2100, with bold metal bezel, solar charging, and Bluetooth® connectivity. Touches of red — a G-SHOCK brand color that also evokes Hachimura’s passion for the game — are added to set off the gold color of the dial, which features a basketball-court motif. The black band highlights the watch face’s powerful impact and pulls the design together for a timepiece that projects focus and strength.

Hachimura’s original logo featuring the symbol 八 (hachi in Japanese, meaning “eight”) is engraved on the case back, and the side button at the 8 o’clock position is laser engraved with the hachi symbol, as well. These and other Hachimura-inspired symbols are sprinkled throughout the design, for a collaboration worthy of a true global basketball sensation.

The shock-resistant construction you expect from a G-SHOCK in a design as sharp, sporty, and fearless as Hachimura himself. - Comments from Rui Hachimura This G-SHOCK signature watch is a limited edition I produced for everyone who enjoys both sports and fashion. It's designed with my favorite colors and the black samurai logo. Please take a look at this watch and try it for yourself. Rui Hachimura Born February 8, 1998 in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from Meisei High School in Miyagi in 2016, Hachimura attended Gonzaga University in the United States. As a member of the Gonzaga University basketball team, he became the first Japanese national to play in a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) tournament. Hachimura received the 2018-2019 Julius Erving Award, which recognizes the top men’s collegiate small forwards of the year. He made history when he became the first Japanese-born player ever to be chosen in the NBA Draft, going to the Washington Wizards as the ninth overall pick. Hachimura joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023.

Hachimura’s signature logo celebrates his identity

Hachimura’s signature “Black Samurai” logo is engraved on the band loop. It combines the symbol 八 (hachi in Japanese, meaning “eight”), representing his name, with a Japanese sword, resulting in an additional “H” motif, for “Hachimura.” His signature graces the case back, finished with a refined yellow-gold ion plating.
