What you are experiencing is perfectly normal. Our bodies are constantly undergoing slight changes throughout the day, and as a rule, our fingers and toes tend to swell towards the end of each day. Therefore it is best to measure your ring finger at the end of the day when your finger is likely to be at its largest.

It is also normal for our finger size to vary slightly from day to day, getting smaller in colder weather and larger in hot humid days, when our bodies retain more water, and our fingers swell. Other daily activities like a good physical workout may also cause slight swelling in your fingers.

Also keep in mind that knuckles have a tendency to become enlarged over the years. You want a ring that’s comfortable to wear, but doesn’t slide off too easily and requires a slight “wiggle” at the knuckle to be removed. Never try to “tug" a tight ring off your finger. Try to gently wiggle it off instead. Remember that wider rings should be sized a little larger than narrow rings. Likewise you may want to size rings that are extremely top heavy a little more snug to minimize them spinning.

Another option would be to install anti-roll bars to the inside of the ring. Getting the right size ring is important. Even if the ring can be easily sized, as most can, you will save time and money by getting the best possible fit from the start
